Lapua brass question

I am kind of confused 308 Win Lapua brass casings.
In the past I am sure I purchased Lapua 308 match casings. Large primer.
I am sure about two years ago, I bought 7.62x51 casings Lapua brand and of course also large rifle primer.
Now I see Lapua selling 308 Win with this: (7.62x51) just behind 308.

I was under the impression 308 Winchester and 7.62x51 have slightly differing thicknesses in each casings.
Hence 7.62x51 and 308 Winchester handload recipes are separate from each other. Lapua used to sell these two as totally separate brass choices.

So what gives Lapua sells this doubly named brass?
Every handload book keeps these two separated?

It's the pressures the 2 rounds are loaded to that counts, old, and I mean old military brass was thicker and so we used to reduce loads 10% when loading 308 recipes in it, however as of late, there is no difference in the brass cases anymore, just the safe operating pressures of the 2 chamberings

I know I have somewhere in my house Lapua brass from about 2 years ago marked just 7.62x51.
Foolishly I loaded it with a stiff load of varget in a 308 match handload.
Resulting in hard extraction so I immediately stopped using it. Quarantined this batch.
 
CIP does not list 7.62X51. The CIP specification for .308 Winchester shows 7.62X51 as an alternative name. We have seen different specifications in North America for 7.62X51 and .308 Win. but this does apply to CIP countries which includes Lapua.

Appatrently there was some Lapua cases marked 7.62X51 in the 1980s. We started with Lapua in 1995.

I have some old Lapua brass that is marked 7.62x51 I bought it at Bisely.

the difference on loading data would be because of the weight of the case. More weight means lesser internal volume, so less powder needed to generate the same pressure.

This is true of all the cases. Both military and commercial can be quite heavy or quite light. I have seen 165 to 200 gr versions. Obviously they would need different powder charges.

As a rule of thumb, if I switch to a heavy case I drop the charge by 2 gr.

The pressure limit for both calibers is about 62,000 psi. A heavy military hits that peak with a little less powder in the case.
