Kinda.

I just picked up 100 .243 Lapua brass and upon taking them out of the box I noticed immediately that the flash holes were burred terribly. I have never seen brass this bad. I thought they were drilled not punched to prevent this very thing. Am I missing something here?

Sinclair sells a very nice deburring tool ,some brass has more burrs than other I wouldn't worry it will still shoot good .
If they are very bad maybe send them back[Pics would be nice].

It sounds like you just got a bad batch of brass and coming from Lapua thats unusual but certainly not impossible.
All my Lapua brass in several different chamberings has always been as good as I could expect. On the other hand different brands have been a disappointment on several occasions.
Would it be a good idea to discuss the issue with the seller..... maybe they would make amends ?

IMHO, it doesn't matter who makes the brass, uniforming the primer pockets for depth and flash hole size as well as deburring are the first steps in preparing new brass for their first loads.

Lapua is having the odd QC issue right now.

Send it back...Peter will exchange it for you.

You're right...Lapua brass sucks.

Buy lots of Fed, Rem and Win brass so that when those of us who like "brass that sucks" need some, we can have an ample supply ready at our finger tips.

:jerkit:

We sold many 10,000 of thousands of brass this year with no complaints and according to poster, Lapua sucks!

Oh oh!
Now your stuck with that ####ty Lapua brass...Better send it to me!:D

I think the Remington trigger effect might be contagious?

I have never ever had an issue with Lapua..ever..
