Get this, went to winnipeg Cabella's last weekend, and was looking for .308 Lapua brass. I ask the guy in charge of that area if they had any. He tells me Lapua doesnt make .308 brass, just .338 brass.

so i went to the US for business trip, went to the cabellas there, and found .308 Lapua brass, I guess they only make it for the US.... LOL.

Jeez. Sad. and nevermind trying to find a neck size, or .308 collet die. you'd think they would be relatively easy to get. NO WAY.

just venting.
ginnz.

You asked an employee of a big chain department store? I'm surprised he didn't tell you the brass is being used to supply cannons to US forces in Afghanistan. Or that you need .300 wm for whatever it is you're using the gun for. Or that .308 is too much gun for what you need. Or any other retarded statement based off nothing more than thinking himself an expert cos he works behind the gun counter in a department store for minimum wage .308 is probably Lapuas biggest seller as its one of their least expensive brass. Its also very popular thus a fast seller. There's quite a few Canadian sources for it, most of which know which end of the barrel the brass goes in.

For future reference, talk to Peter Dobson at Hirsch Precision for all your Lapua needs, you will not be disappointed.
