Lapua Standard Club

I think they may have changed the name on the new stuff. The store I usually buy my Lapua super club ammo at, showed me a new package. I bought two packs to check them out. I'll see what the name is. I could be wrong on this, but I was told that this was the replacement for the Super club.

super club

I believe the Lapua super club has been replaced by the SK Standard plus (still made by Lapua). I have shot the SK Match Rifle and the SK Standard Plus and my Bruno model 4 prefers the Std+. Super club was my old flavour of choice, but I believe the new Std+ works even better...at lest in my fire stick.

Just dug out the two boxes that I bought. Yup they are called "Standard plus". Gold box with a black/white target and yellow bullseye with yellow writing. Lapua is in small letters on the side.

Haven't tried it yet, so I can't compare. They seemed a bit pricier than Super club. I still have a brick of Super club left, so we'll see.

If your rifle likes/liked a specific lot number of Lapua club then I would be looking for that specific lot no# again. If you have none left and any new club will be of a different lot you may not get the same result. At that point it would be wise to start over with several different brands to see if you can fine one that will shoot similarly to the lot of Lapua. Make sure when testing there will be sufficient ammo available if your gun likes a particular brand/lot. Real pisser to find one your rifle really shoots well only to find out the store has 2 bricks left.
