Has anybody seen those 500 rd tins of Lapua Standard Club that were kicking around a few years ago lately? Looking to pick a few up, but its becoming a royal pain when great shootable ammo becomes 'collectible'.

If you want it for shooting purposes, its now called "SK Magazine" and you can get it from Hirsch Precision.

You're only saving $3 over a brick of SK Std. Plus though, and the Std. Plus comes in boxes and is clean. The rounds in the can are completely covered in wax heat-to-toe (not just the bullet). For the price difference, I would avoid the greasy mess...

I've got an unopened tin and another about half full (not exactly sure I'd have to count what's left). I believe they cost me $40 per tin. If you are interested in it, I'd want what I paid for it (minus the used rounds of course).

Appreciate it all- I had an awful experience with a bad lot of Std + recently, but I suppose if I found a good lot it'd pay off in the long run. Might try that-

I apparently bought a case of a good lot.Fifty yard five shot groups are averaging 3/8",and some groups are right around 1/4".Not bad for a sporter weight rifle and 9x scope.

Note the lot # that was giving you issues and ask Peter for something different... He's pretty accommodating in that way.

Since the stuff in the can is a lower grade than Std. Plus., you probably have the same, if not greater chance of getting a bad lot.

Fair point-

Kris have you come across any straggler supplies of Master lately? I picked up two boxes of 'L' recently, but the last remnants of that stuff is very few and far between.
