what is the mag of choice ? function/looks/quality/price ?...... I am looking at getting a few for my Norinco 10.5.... thanks

Lar10 is a 10 round metal BODY.
At15 is a 20 round poly body.

When the lar is loaded to cap, the spring is at full compression putting a lot of force on the feed lips. Also it doesnt load to 10.5 rounds which means you cant load on a closed bolt.

At's can load on a closed bolt and is not stiff on the tenth round. There is some tweeking needed on some of the mags.... But the at's get my vote.

(indexing is another thing too but someone else can jump on that one.)

great news for the norinco thanks... my P mags and D&H can't load 5 on a closed bolt.... but the crap Norinco does lol.... I will try the AT15...

AT15's work bench with my Atlas Bipod... Mine worked without any modification on my Ar...

I sold all my LAR15's... Not even worth their price in scrap metal compared to the AT15....

I thought it was a pistol built 10 rounder, no?

They can't be a pinned 20 rounder- the overall length must be either longer or shorter, otherwise they wouldn't be classified as a distinct pistol mag - they'd be classified as a pinned 20 round AR mag, and limited to 5 rounds.

its a 20 round mag blocked off at 10.5

No it's a 10 round pistol magazine period. The extra length is exactly what it is, extra length. A blocked or pinned mag could be illegally modified to accept more rounds these cannot. They are pistol specific magazine that was well thought out by both ATRS and the manufacturing company.

Nice! Got to try some out soon. Now I have never ever had any issues with my LAR's... No failure to feed or failure to eject, nothing. they've been perfect. Have you guys had issues with them?

This is what I thought....either way, I'm glad they are in circulation!
