I was thinking about getting some of those Magpul anti-tilt followers for my LAR mags, but I was wondering how well do they fit? Do they allow for all 10 rounds to be loaded? Would down loading to just 9 rounds work just as well without the anti-tilt followers?

Yes, they fit just fine - and you can still load 10 rounds. The only time you really need to drop them down to 9 rounds is if you use a coupler or something like a Magpul ranger or C-Products plate. In those instances you can file the posts down 3-4mm (trial and error) such that you can load 10.5 rounds (you want the extra .5 so you can load on a closed bolt). Hope that helps.

I just picked up some of the yellow magpul followers and did some surgery on a lar mag. I twisted the spring a bit so it slotted into the follower crevice, but I found the spring wasn't long enough to actually be inserted into the follower hole. It still seems to function fine and is smooth as butter compared to stock. Anyone have any thoughts on this? I can take a photo if it's not clear.

Strange... all the springs fit fine on the followers for me.

I haven't opened up my second lar mag yet so maybe its just a manufacture discrepancy, but unless I did something completely stupid, the spring wire that attaches to the follower didn't have enough thread to reach the hole. I'll post a photo when I can.
