Hey guys I wanted to know if anyone has seen or might build a body extension of the LAR-15 10 round pistol mags to make them the size of a 30 round mag.
I know I can couple two of the mags together to get this effect but I dont use the bottom mag, as I do not want to train that way.
It would be great if the bottom part could be modeled after a pMag or something similar.
Based on the price of the mags and couplers I think if they could be built and sold for under $20 - $25 they would sell but I could be wrong.

Plan B would be the ITW MagBoot if they would work, anyone know where I could get these?

Stay tuned.
Something will be available in the very near future, that can be coupled with another extension.

I sacrificed som norc madgs to build extensions for myself. If I had a shop it would be easy to turn them out, good to hear that there may be options soon.)

Assuming all goes as planned (final testing etc going on right now) there should be something available within the next month, give or take a week.

Use your existing mags and just attach to the extension.
Made of aluminum.

Won't share anything specific right now, but it answers all my needs of something I can hold on to, grab from my belt/mag pouches easily and couple with other mags.
I'm a 3 gun competitor and designed it to meet my needs there, but I think it will be versatile enough for whatever type of shooting you participate in.

Best part is, no rounds in the dirt if you go prone.

That's it for now.
Next post will be of finished product.

The ITW MagBoot is like a soft rubber sock... won't work!

I whipped these up in the shop over the weekend on the CNC mill:

Hopefully it will be sturdy enough that the assembly can be used as a monopod.
