The problem with ideology is that it doesn't allow you to see what is front of you.
It also has one making assumptions and resorting to generalizations of people you have never met.
Critical thinking requires one to understand others point of view - to either validate your position - or modify it based on new information one wasn't privy to previously.
If the other person has made you re-evaluate your position based on their arguments - I would certainly be able to respect their views and the passion/logic for their position - especially if they force me to confront my opinion/bias/position.

When I made the request - it was to understand your point of view and to understand how you made the assumption - having never met me.

So I will ask the simple question - do you think I am for or against the selling of said magazines?

I'll give you a hint which may allow you to guess what my position is.

I voted Conservative during the last Federal Election.
Wouldn't trust Trudeau to walk my dog.
Although, compared to our neighbours to the south, he appears to be doing a decent job handling the current situation.

For a bunch of folks who usually side on the Libertarian "Dont tread on Me" type, there's a lot of telling a business what to do in here. Do these mags appeal to me? Nope. Do I care if they do to someone else? NOPE.
 
it's hilarious to hear all the cry babies saying they'll never buy from IRG again,nut you know full well.they'll be the first ones to whip out the credit card next time IRG has some kind of crazy sale,talk is cheap.it would be nice if IRG offered some kind of small discount if you order and include your CGN screen name,they would see the same whynners jumping on the sales,you can almost bet that not a single one of the easily offended that say they wont buy from you again,,WILL,,the minute there's a sale on something they want,LOL..IRG not backing down assures you get my money,political correctness is complete horse_____T
one good thing about threads like this,is we get to block all the whynners so we never have the misfortune of dealing with them in the EE,
 
I think the magazine being red makes it look stupid. If it was black and I was in the market, I'd probably buy it. I have a dark sense of humor though.

I suspect this covid mag is a recycled product. They have cherry red mags listed on their site, perhaps sales were low and wanted to move product. Slap something cheezy and controversial on there and you got a hot new item.

Yet here in this poorly prepared and unresponsive country where the disease was able to spread to and rapidly expand because of terrible leadership, you would expect people would be mad at our own government but no, its convenient for them to blame China for this. I find it interesting how people feel its acceptable to blame a group of people and fuel racism on a magazine but this Covidiot-19 magazine is over the top for many. Keep on rocking in the freeworld man.

Congratulations on your willingness to be fed information by the media machine without ever questioning it. Just for reference sake, the US economy was stronger than any other time in history before this all happened. More people employed, people making more money, overall satisfaction with life higher than ever. We could only be so lucky. Seems funny to me that you want to berate the leader of the US for doing everything in his power to help and protect HIS country while our leader is still allowing sick asylum seekers free and unrestricted access into ours. 2.2 trillion dollar relief fund that was implemented quickly... meanwhile we get a relief package with no official roll out date, weeks away at BEST.

I, for one, would take lower taxes and pay for healthcare any day of the week. But, thats another topic for another time.

Its racist and racism to make false claims that issues that have nothing to do with race are race related.
