Not really. Just require the proper amount of drive and upper body strength.

Take apart the mag and trim the follower....if you put a ranger plate on the bottom this is a must. Use a dremel or good old sand paper. Just take a bit off of the stabilizers.

All of mine hold 10 rounds, they just won't feed the first round (jams going in). If I download to 9 no problems.

Actually, it was a very easy fix...I strongly recommend it!
With the belt sander, it took less than 5 minutes to do a dozen (12) followers. It took much longer to put the mags back together again.![]()
Most people in the field ' down load ' one or two rounds out of 20 and 30 round mags because of this.
It par for these beasts with this type of system.
