LAR-15 Mag couplers

RylanBrissette, I can tell you are a smart guy. I didn't think about this until way later on. You're definitely quicker than me. There is this guy that I know of, worth about 50 million dollars, he informed me that everybody has a million dollar idea but can he or she can put it into the market. So next time if something that comes to your mind just do what it take to get it out there, " just do it!" I'm sure you'll beat me to the punch, keep trying!

Well don't get me wrong, I wasn't trying to take credit for the idea! I'm sure several people had the same idea... but to design a functioning and quality product in sufficient quantity is the hard part. And I must say your finished product looks very good. Congrats on finally making something like this.

I forgot I made a thread about it way back when: http://www.canadiangunnutz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=244504

Hi RylanBrissette

Sorry, I didn't mean it that way. I just admire people that are faster thinkers and are smarter than me. I learned that life is a continuous learning process. The creation of the couplers is mine but the work belongs to a friend of mine that is highly skilled. I also learned that one cannot get ahead without help of others.

I'm impressed

Wow, I just went to your old thread that you posted back in 05-24-2008. I'm impressed that you thought of this so long ago!

Base plate couplers

Are you the one who designed the Mini-Moose? I didn't know that. Mag couplers that replace the bottom plate in AR magazines are $13US and they are a very old thing.

The old base plate couplers for $13 that you mentioned are not the same as mine. The ones you are talking about are parallel not in a series.

I'm not trying to put anybody down but this reminded me of a book that I read a year ago. It is called " Trump, Think Like a Billionaire." Donald J. Trump quotes" Loser get their achievements by stopping others." You know when you're doing something right when somebody comes out of the wood works and try to ruin it for you.

i merely suggested that the mag couplers are not a new idea. AFAIK they were around since Clinton banned high capacity mags. The ones I've seen were made of metal were imported from Asia someplace. there were also same kind of couplers made of some kind of impact resistant plastic. They were – yes - exactly like the ones which are discussed in here – in line, not parallel. And as you can see in the link posted above, Rylan Brissete posted that idea in a thread a year ago. And he also suggests that few others had the same idea before. I remember his thread from a year ago. But i didn't want to hurt your feelings.
i didn't get who is the loser who tries to stop you?

I need to see some proof. I'm sure you can find something. Everybody has a million dollar idea. It only counts if you can get it in the market. A patent alone doesn't make any money. You have to get it out there. As you can see, I read Rylan Brissette's thread and complimented him.

Make it out of plastic and sell it for a buck. They will never sell at that price. That's more than a PMAG costs!!

They are selling.

I was told my company wouldn't last a year because people in Canada wouldn't buy high quality nylon gear. They said "it's to expensive", "they won't buy from you again", "quality last forever so they won't replace it".

i merely suggested that the mag couplers are not a new idea.

The wheel/tire is not a new idea but companies continue to make new ones.

Everybody has a million dollar idea. It only counts if you can get it in the market.

This is the key right here, and what makes the difference.

Good job Thomas!

That's because you keep on pressuring people to buy slings. :p

Thanks Farmboy,

Obviously, you're an entrepreneur just like me! I already see the mountains that you climbed and the obstacle that jealous people put. If it weren't for entrepreneurs, there wouldn't be any jobs! Speaking of jobs, there is a guy that I know of ,with a net worth about 50 million dollars, he informed me that the word job is an acronym, J.O.B. It stands for " Just Over Broke." We as entrepreneur don't work hard but work smart by using other people's money, other people's skill and other people's time to make money. Money is like a lubricant in life. It lets you slide through life instead of scraping through life! My machinist is currently pumping out 200 more this week. The first 10 sold in 5 minutes and the first 50 sold in 16 working hours. I had guys running around the range look for somebody to lend them money so they get one coupler. Remember, million dollar ideas are a dime a dozen. The real question is do have the skill to get it into the real world. Sean Penney, vice president, of the " Firearm Journal " approval of my product hitting the market and wonders why it wasn't sold two years ago. As I type this, two of my couplers is on route to him for appraisal. It stands a chance to be feature in his product review.

Hmmm

Maybe a good idea to go to bed now.

You sound like you've been drinking or (as the Mounties say) are in a state of extreme agitation aka "excited delirium" ... or are just pissed-off at all the "I coulda done that too" folks.

Too many people work really long hours at their Real Job and then come home and then (unable to quit) are drawn-back to the Internet.

Great idea and execution ... most folks do not "go" that final step.

Good on ya.

Now, turn the computer off ... and go to bed:)

Interesting thread. It makes me want to find out details about the claims made in here. There are always details that are left out;)

Hi guys

I would like to thank everybody for participating in the promotion of " Lar-15 mag couplers." I only wanted 6 pages in this discussion, any longer would probably be boring. To SushiX2, thanks for the pic and starting of the tread. To 22 short, there are no hard feelings,I only wanted you to join back into the thread. To Boomer49, I can tell you're a really, really nice guy. To Farmboy, I would like to meet you one day. I'll will not be chatting in this thread any more and will be somewhere else promoting my couplers.
Remember, it is only a "promo." I like everybody. See you guys at the range.

+1 for the entrepreneurship Thomas, but don't knock that bed down with your inflated ego and your arrogance. Everywhere you read on this forum there are self called designers. First Armedsask and others, now this...

Just so you know, the people from Dlask Arms confirmed that Mr Joe Dlask designed it (for you) in the form that it is now and can be seen on his website. You only brought to him a hand drawing, a sketch possibly made after you have read about Rylan Brissette original idea in the fore mentioned thread. That's the only thing you did, and now you are posing here as a designer and talking like you know what you are talking about.
You are a fake.
Mr Dlask did the actual product development and he did a very good job, as he always does. Is he the one you called “my machinist”?

You made me curious about the other items you claim to have designed. I promised I will be back with most of the details you left out. These were only some. More to come. Leave it to me. It won't take very long.

LOL, quit knocking the guy! He came out with a product that people want! We all thought about coupling our mags together. Well he did it!

My only gripe is the price. 50$ a piece is about 5x too much. I won't buy any on that principle alone. But I dont blame thomasthomas for bringing this thing to fruition.
