LAR 15 Magazines

That’s why I edited my post. Misread the 10/10 part.

Hey no worries. The way they make AR mags nowadays you never know. Even 10/30 mags should have removable followers, it wouldn't be that hard to figure out.

For example, all my CZ pistol mags are factory crimped to 10 rounds, there's a crimp on both sides of the mag. The follower has slots for the crimps to go through and the crimps actually catch on the rounds, not the follower. This way I can fully disassemble all my mags even with the factory crimp.

I wonder why AR mag manufacturers haven't figured that one out yet?

I tried.

I have a bunch of magpul and mft. I'm going to be ordering some metal ones now as I like to leave the mags loaded in the safe and apparently over time the feed lips on even the magouls will start to weaken or deform slightly and result in feeding issues.variety is never a bad thing.

If they did deform, it's under full pressure of 30rds not 5.

Polymer work good in the AR but in my buddies tavor he had problems with the bolt hitting the mag, but the metal mags worked fine in his tavor.

MFT 10 round mags with GS designs couplers - now you have pretty much full size mags with 20 rounds

Takes longer to flip over and you have to remember whether this is your odd or even magazine change, and either way you drop it will be on the lips, but can make sense as your last mag so you have 10 bonus rounds you hadn't expected to need available when you do.

Its a wash for reloads I`d say. A massive part of 3 gun is strategy / remembering your strategy (where to reload etc) so I`ll formulate a plan based on the course of fire, rotating the mag is simply part of that.

I've had zero issues dropping the coupled mags too. YMMV.
