Lar-15 mags not able to fit 10

I just bought a bunch of Lar-15 mags and I can't fit 10. I can get the 10th in but i really need to force it in. Even with 8 the bolt sometimes doesn't always close all the way. Has anybody had this issue, I tried to look it up in search and found nothing. If this isn't the right forum for this question sorry.

I know 8 is better then 5 but still....

Load those mags to capacity and let them sit, the springs will loosen a bit over time.

ok thanks, Shoulda figured it was just the spring. My beretta mags were the same but never had trouble closing the bolt.

If it is too much of a problem, pull the baseplates off, and trim the bottom or the spring, a quarter at a time...

That is my answer as well. Just need to work the springs and break them in a bit is all.

Just take out the follower and trim/sand a little off the "legs" that stick down. They are bottoming out too quickly. Trim a little and retry. You should trim until there is a small amount of spring up when you press down on the 10th round. If you remove too much then it could hold 11 rounds and become prohibited. I did the same with my M and P magazines.

Just picked up 10 LAR mags and all fit 10 and seat on a forward bolt. I noticed there were several types of followers on these mags. I chose the ones that have what looks like an anti-tilt follower marked 5.56 and all seem to fit in my Sabre Defence M4.
