lar mag coming apart... Non-weld solutions?

:bsFlag:

Either you are the most prolific shooter at a PMC in Iraq or Afghanistan, which I seriously doubt, or you are a 16yo in your mom's basement.

Ever heard of stockpiling? Doesnt mean he's going through/using up a dozen a month, just means he's buying that many.

Mags are disposable. Buy more off the EE. I wouldnt piss around with a busted mag.

I really don't have to prove anything to you, after all, for all I know you're just a 16 yo living in your parents' basement. Just because you have one mag per gun, doesn't mean we all do.

I never said that I go through that many magazines, I said that I buy that many mags. If you don't believe me, call Sal or Derek over at Questar, and ask them how many mags I have bought.

Just remember to check your facts in future before you pull the BS flag.

Regards.

Mark

Not that I need to tell you this, but apart from mags being disposable items, there are a few good reasons to stockpile mags.

Take a look at what happened down South when they had the Assault Weapons Ban, and what is still happening now in the "ban states".

Think it will never happen here? Or, what if (when?) the US brings in a permanent ban?

Besides having enough mags to keep me going, I can retire selling my extras on the EE. I know a few guys who made $$$ selling pre-ban mags back to the Yanks back in the day, think $100 for a std G17 mag!

er...thanks for the discussion.
I do have a stockpile of tan pmags. and they are smooth like butter.
However, with my 10-rounders I've back-to-back them to make 20 rounders so that I can get 400% more shooting time out of them.
I also received another bunch of LAR mags from the EE, however, whenever/wherever I can repair, I will try. Yes, I am that cheap.

Apologies

My apologies for derailing your thread a little.

You should really do whatever you want, it's your mag, and your money.
