Lar15 couplers from Questar.

Did you use the screw on the narrow end to properly install the metal coupler to the mags?

I had no idea there was a screw for that. I just jammed some mags onto it and figured it was good to go. Thanks for the tip.

I'm still worried enough about the feed lips that I think I will just go without he coupler.

My steel ones broke off the tabs that hold the floor plate on.. I had re invent them to make them super strong I made a washer out of the orginal floor plates...

Base posts on the followers; if you find you're having trouble loading 10 rounds after. This is almost always required for Magpul L or Ranger plates (not sure about C-Products or the couplers).

I figured that was what you were referring to after a bit. There was some cross posting going on however ...

There should be no need to file anything down with the metal couplers. As to filing down followers, I'd be careful not to end up with a mag which is over the legal capacity ... I have never dealt with the ranger plates or magpul L, just something to be generally aware of when modifying mag capacity in any way.

I bought a ten pack of plastic ones from Questar 2 years ago, used 5 of them, have shot 3 gun matches with them since without a failure. When I do mag changes I let them hit the ground. None are taped (although I was told to do that when I first got them).

Use the metal ones

The best ones to get are the Canadian-made Dlask Arms couplers.
A solid product - will never break, and if you have problems with the mags slipping from the supplied screw, go to Home Depot and get washers. They'll never budge again.

Yeah, the plastic couplers are crap. I dropped my mag the other day, no more than a metre off ground, and it cracked the lip. Then again, they are plastic. Gonna try the metal, Dlask ones as they seem to be getting a good review.
