Lar15 Jamming

Stock 5/30 mag seating.

Lar is considerably lower

Could I file or bend the top lips to raise the shell?
Right now the shells won't even exit the mag and the bullet
gets pushed into the casing.

I've had to file down the front of the mags down so that the bullet cleared without getting hung up. The XCR Pistol mags are way better.

Yes, take a file or dremel and bring the metal down so that the case can clear. Had to do this with all my grey LARs. Since then, seldom do I get FTF issues with those.

Did gen2 of the LAR15 fix this issue?

i filed the feed lips and the front of the lar mags (grey metal) and smoothed with emery cloth , works great now.
