Anyone have any idea on where I can find some LAR15 pistol mag extensions??
I need a few for some 7.62x39 pistol mags
I know someone was manufacturing them but can't find out where.
It gets to be a real pain trying to dig them out of my chest rig.

Thanks for the help.

what you mean these?

we are out of stock, we have sold about 2000 of these, the cost much more then the plastick one, but the ipsc guys love it.
its a hell of a lot of machining, but they will last a very long time.
still less then most metal pistol mag bases.

The GS Design printed plastic ones are OK, but I greatly preferred the aluminum ones from SJ Hardware. They stand up to dropping free and the extra weight ensures they always drop. Not sure when Simon will have more in stock...

Well they are both are good to drop free on hard surfaces. Both aluminum and polymer will dent after multiple drops on concrete, however.

My extensions are meant to replicate a 30 round mag as realistically as possible. They actually replicate the mass of the 30 rounder within about 1 gram in addition to replicating the size and shape of the 30 rounders very accurately.

I've been using the GSDesigns extensions for close to 2 years now and mine are still pretty much new.
Multiple matches and practice sessions, indoor and outdoor.

I haven't used the S&J ones, but had the opportunity to handle them at the last match I went to, couple weeks ago.
They look nice, but feel too heavy. Just my opinion.
I think it would feel odd to have that much weight on my belt (I usually have 3-4 mags on my belt per course of fire)

I'm a big fan of tactical poplar with a little linseed oil....

I also may, or may not, have a dolphin sticker on one courtesy of a child.

home depot. Don't forget the screws.

That being said, the S&J ones *are* nice. But, I figure if the SHTF, i'll at least have something to burn to cook my first post-apocalypse meal....
