I had this in a separate thread as well but i'll put it up here too! Bull I got in the dying hours of a week long hunt in Cape Breton.

Couple of Sambar Stags from this Year, The one im Holding is from the Famed Wonnangatta Valley in the Alpine National Park , Southern Australia in Victoria..

I lucked out on filming most of the hunt an it can be seen on youtube....

"Sambar hunting has its high and lows, if you do it often enough the Lows outweigh the Highs but it makes looking back on those Succesful racks that little bit more Special- it had been a good year"

Got this fellow last weekend. My buddy was pushing bush for me on a canola field, he went into a small bush along a big slough and the buck tried to slip around him and run back to another bush my buddy had already walked through. Fortunately I was expecting this and was in place to make the shot, the 9.3x62 got him quartering slightly away from me. Went in through liver, lung and heart and came out under his left front leg, broke that shoulder as well. He dropped pretty quick. Recovered part of the 270gr Speer bullet in the hide there when we skinned him.
