Hello all, just thought I'd share a pic of my deer hunting trip this year.... the first animal killed with my new 110FP. This buck came out into the field right under my stand... stood broadside at 30yds for about 10minutes and then began to walk directly away from me across the field. At this point I was suffering through soo much buck fever that I couldn't even keep the deer in the scope at 2X... I waited and tried to calm down as he walked away...he kept turning his head and neck to the north to look down the field.... so once I was calm enough... he was about 275yds away... I waited for him to turn... sure enough, he turned his head and neck broadside and I fired... he droped immediately... I couldn't even stand up for 20minutes. Then I was just about to climb down, when a doe jumped into the field and because we party hunt... she went down with one shot as well at about 290yds... pretty good morning I'd say.... the taxidermist preliminarily scored it at just under 170 with the couple deductions..... not a very tall 12pt but the mass accounts for a lot. The deer weighed 195lbs dressed.
