Mmmm, young bull are the best tasting, way to go.

Big mulie from a couple years ago. Would have been nice if he had a few more years to put on some more mass. The butcher said it was the biggest, healthiest deer he'd seen in many years. I ended up with 176lbs on the hook.

Sawatsky, there are lots of great bucks like those right here in SW Ontario, you just have to put the time in to find them. Start with Ontario Monster Whitetails Magazine

Very nice deer!!! Not much chance of getting one like any of those around here. Congrats on your success.

Lately I have been trying to get my uncle and cousin from South Mountain, Ontario (between Ottawa and Cornwall area) to come out and hunt whitetails, but they haven't commited yet. Yes I have harvested good whitetail and other big game, however; I measure success by having a safe and enjoyable hunt with my son. Talking abut my son here are a few of his whitetails.

52" bull moose from 2010 near Robb AB.

I was sitting on the edge of a power line and I heard him crashing in the bush about 100 yards away. He walked straight at me, taking his damn sweet time, probably at least 10 minutes. By the time he was about 15 yards away, still in the bush, I could tell he was a bull but didn't realize he was that big. I let him walk out onto the power line about 20 yards from me before I dropped him with my 7mm-08. Damn, I don't know if I've ever been so scared, listening to him come straight at me through the bush like that. I had trouble standing for a while - my legs were a little shaky.
