Large loop lever action (Puma '92)?

A recent thread got me playing with my Puma Lever again. It got me wondering: there's a large hoop lever available for them, what's the advantage if any, 'sides from looking kinda neat? Anybody using a large loop on their leverin' iron?

I think the big advantage is if you're hunting with it in the cold and have to wear gloves. With a large loop they'll actually fit.

That, and John Wayne had one - enough said.

Just on the Puma website, they make a 3/4" lever too. Hmmm...

I've been thinking about ordering one too. Based on the pictures it doesn't look like there's a ton of difference between the 3/4 and the large loop.

I was told that if you position your hands right with the large loop it's easier to cycle fast (which is supposedly why 'the rifleman' had it ) but i've never had one to play with.
