Can someone help me with this. What "ring" is involved in the small ring/large ring mauser action description. I have a PH 1200 HB in 6mm Remington and am trying to locate a synthetic stock for it. I need to know if it is a large or small 'ring' Mauser..........Thanks.,....

I'm sure I'll be corrected, but I'm pretty sure a PH 1200 is based on the M98 action and that would make it a large ring...
Mauser 98s have both large & small rings. I believe too that you have a large ring but check it out on Boyd's site as suggested. I have ordered several semi-finished stocks in the past just to have "on hand" - all where ordered for a small ring. A little more bedding to enlarge the ring diameter cavity to suite. A PH HB will be a standard length large ring Mauser 98 action. A few differences, but nothing major. Bottom metal will be different if you have a DM. - dan
