Large Rifle Primer Alternative?

Is the 44 Mag cartridge a rifle cartridge?

44 magnum is a pistol cartridge. Takes large pistol primers. I have handguns and rifles in 44 Remington magnum. Large rifle primers would sit high possibly being set off by closing the action or if used in a semi causes a slam fire. I have federal sr here that are labeled as use for rifle and high velocity pistol. I have used sr in place of sp with good results.

Excellent. However not one bit of that is on topic in this thread, which was asking about an alternative for LARGE RIFLE primers.

You asked a question and I answered so you derailed first. Derailing a thread is common on CGN. Your only alternative to large rifle primers is large rifle magnum. The few exceptions have been mentioned, basically low pressure loads using large pistol primers.
