Has anyone found "oversize" grips for an SP-101? The factory grips and Hogues are OK but given that concealment isn't a concern up here, I'd like to have something closer to a full grip size. The Pachmayr Diamond Pro look slightly larger but are probably about the same as the Hogues. The only grips I've heard of that were really larger were Trautsch but the maker died recently and they're no longer available. I've also seen some from Thailand on eBay which look like they're larger but they may be using a generic photo of their other grips. :)

I have the rubber ones and tried the vinyl ones (which I had ordered in error). The Hogues are good and seem to be favoured by many folks but they're still pretty short. :)

Got both nylon and rubber bigger grip, the 101 handle great with them... JP.

I finally got around to looking for some grips and found some rosewood ones from "Diamondgrips" in Thailand on Amazon (US), which I had sent to my US address. Just put them on yesterday and they're pretty good. They're the same length as the rubber Hogue grips but without the taper at the bottom and they fill my medium hand better. The little flare at the bottom of the backstrap doesn't make contact with my hand and could be sanded off to a rounder profile but I'll probably just leave it as is. I belileve there are similar grips available on eBay.

They were $50 US + $4 shipping, so not cheap (~$72 Cdn.) but they're well made and finished. I did have a couple of minor problems- the fit of the two pieces is perfect at the bottom but there was a bit of a gap at the top of the backstrap, behind the hammer, just enough to get my thumbnail into. However, some testing with Prussian blue and a little judicious scraping of a couple of high areas at the top of the grips closed it up pretty well. Also, the holes for the 1/4" dia. cross-pin were a bit tight, but that was easy to rectify too. Those quibbles aside, I'm pretty happy with them and they do dress the gun up nicely.
