Larger mags for Ruger 77/22mag?

I have a Shooters Ridge in my 10/22M... I've not had any luck with 10/22 mags in my 96/22, which I've read here is the same as the 77/22 mags. But I've not tried the mag from the the 96/22 in a 10/22. So maybe this is no help at all. Know someone with a 77/17 and if we can work it out, I'll get him to give it a try.
