So yesterday while spending the weekend at my buddies, we did some changes on one his rifles.
Took a Larue rail off, and added a much longer Troy rail. It was the first time playing with a Larue rail and....................
Holy clusterf*ck!!
At the back of the Larue rail is a cutout, that seems to only fits Larue low profile gas blocks.
As well there are multiple parts to allow for the attachment of the rail. I've never seen so many parts just to attach a rail.
Anyway, it required removing the gas block with the rail still around the barrel, but not attached to the upper, then sliding everything off together.
But we got it done and got out shooting.
