LaRue Tactical dealer for Canada ?

Thanks For the info . I see Arms East has a AD-Recon 30mm mount I will looking at that .

Mark Larue has had several years to make his product available up here, and he knowingly avoids your business.

Skip Larue and go with the American Defence product. Not only will they deal with Canadians, but their ADM Recon mount is better than that of Larue's LT-135 to boot.

I have 4 of Larue's products, including the LT-135, and can say with certainty that there are products within grasp that are as good or better.

The LaRue mount is over rated IMHO. I have both the LT-104 and the AD-RECON, the ADM locking mechanism clamps to the side of your top rail without damaging the finish unlike the LT does. In addition, you can adjust the ADM without any need to a special tool that LaRue supplies.

I went down the LaRue route before getting a few AD-RECON's from Arms East (Thanks Walter!)

The other mount to take a look @ is the Bobro Engineering - Precision Optic Mount - its not listed on there web site, but I have seen it available elsewhere - lots of good reviews on the clamping mechanism. I dunno if there is Canadian distributor for their product line.

I dunno if the companies are related to ADM and/or Daniel Defense, but they all have VERY similar web sites.

Much has been made over the 'marring' of recievers by Larue mounts.

In my experience this is caused by not adjusting the locking levers correctly.

Bottom line, if you want a rock solid mount with repeat zero ability, it HAS to lock tight. If that 'marks' your reciever lightly, I can live with that. Seems like more of a mindset and priority issue than a design issue to me.

Well I got my mount yesterday form ArmsEast . Here some pictures of it on my AR. Am using a Mark 4 1.5-5x20mm MR/T M2 Illum with SPR Reticle on it .

With LaRue, the leveler needs to be "tight". It is not monster tight, but you need to feel some resistance when closing. Otherwise, it will back out and shake lose.

Mounts....

I have never used LaRue..... BUT I have a ADM on my TAR21 and it works flawlessly. It is Solid, and mounts good to the gun.... I regularly take it on and off for transportation and storage and it is ~ .5 MOA repeatable every time. That is great for me. I bet by going on and off repeatably I have mated the mount to the rail as it needed some tightening the first 2 times. Now as I said above it is Solid and there is NO MARK on the rail on the TAR21.....

(my only beef with it is that to assemble it there are a ton of screws to put together but at the same point that is what makes it solid and robust......)

Yes there is clearance from the rear site to the IOR.... (BTW - IOR sux)
