LaRue Tactical Dealers

I like Mark, and he has treated me very very well in the past. His biggest issues are the way he acts sometimes; in both person and the net.
He has rubbed a lot of people the wrong way, both inside and outside of USSOCOM.

That said - he does a fantastic job of customer support, and will literally do a one night turn around for units that need something.

I may work for the competition, but I value Mark and his product.

larue has not applied for export certification to export out of the USA is the rumour, they have a big enough USA market it is not worth itto them to spend the money on canada.

BUT if anyone would be close to getting them in , I would bet on oneshot tactical.

That may be true for all of the gun part stuff, but they won't even sell me their fancy new covert case! The company just doesn't want to ship outside of US jurisdiction.

I have a few of his products, they work great- I like the way they come with hardware, wrench/ key and locktite as well. Some of his "rants" on ARF are abit much though... to bad his stuff wasnt for sale up here.

I spoke with him once and he came across as a very pleasant, friendly person. His products are very much in demand by the domestic US market and that is taking up almost 100% of his time, including of course military/LEO sales. If/when US demand abates somewhat, I can see him seriously looking toward significant Canadian penetration, but until it does, I'm not holding my breath. Sad, but true.

Do you guys have any alternative product suggestions for a 1 peice mount. It is for an AR application, and 1 peice, quick detach. is what I would like.

Something obtainable, friendly to Canada, and actually available to us Canucks?

Check out Brownells and the GG&G line.
With the Canadian dollar moving up towards par with the US dollar, you will get more bang for the buck.

Also at Brownells, their rings and bases are not considered a 'controlled' item and the vendor is register with the State Dept for exports to friendly countries such as Canada.

how did you get larue products?......just checkin since i got a infraction from you talking about getting some sent up when you were a mod:D

Every once in a while someone does a big group buy on em (to mitigate import/export costs), and get em exported.

I know that SOCOM Supply used to get some LaRue things in once in a blue moon, but I don't think so anymore.

Yeah... but if LaRue didn't apply or register as an exporter,
how is it legally possible to take them out of US and bring them in here???
Does the canadian "group buy" by-passes the US laws?
And, how did Socom Supply bring them? Interesting...

Are you totally sure a scope mount is a regulated item ?...it's not a gun part, nor a scope. As posted above, Brownells consider scope mounts as non-regulated items.
I know Brownells is not the US DoS, but if they're doing something wrong, i guess they would get some phone calls from the Feds.

I wonder when things changed because a few years ago scope parts had to get approval from another US dept. I don't see "scope parts" listed as a warning to get export approval anywhere on Brownells now.

Still a burn that LaRue won't even ship a rifle case outside the US!

it will be regulated since many LaRue items are used by the US military.

stupid I know, but as far as I know ANYTHING "gun" related needs to have export paperwork done...

+1

I was thinking the same thing - you always see items on the EE that you know can not be export into Canada. My only guess is that they were export before the clamp down.

or sold by a buisness that does not care about US State dept. law and exports the item anyway, or the buisness is just clueless about exports to canada..... after all we are the friendly country ;)

They are there. Here's a hint.

Look under the following on the left menu selection:
==> "parts + materials"
==> "Scope Rings & Bases"

If that is hard to follow, try the link below :D

everyone I know here in Norway gets their Larue s**t through Brownells

Maybe my eyes are failing me but I don't see any LaRue Tactical mounts listed at Brownells, they are not even listed as a manufacture when you use the advance search. Am I missing something?

American Defense Mfg. has a few scout mounts listed, but not the ones most AR guys are looking for.
