You've been able to get the same thing for years, with a better butt-stock, from POF for 85 bucks cheaper. I don't know why people think LaRue is such the cat's meow. They don't offer anything that anyone else, and their 7 dogs don't offer. Then again, AR's are as common as dirt. I'm not 100% sure why anyone would fawn over one. There are tons of more interesting guns out there in .308 that do the job way better. DS Arms FAL's come to mind for one.

You're not going to get that LaRue or POF either, so what are YOU talking about? "Texas to Kanuckistan; come in Kanuckistan!; Na-Nu; Na-NU!"

I love how inspite of the continuous rail, they shot them with their cantilever mount.

The only Non Cantilever mount ( two ring style one piece ) Larue makes is the LT-107 which has 30MOA built into the mount

This would give the rifle above 50MOA of slope...waaaay to much

This is why they are using the LT-104 SPR

I do agree they would be better with just a standard style rings ( Badgers etc ) for a continous rail

But if we did get em they would be legal and ownable

now keep the noise down or Im gonna kick your horse
:slap:

You ain't gonna get them; period. And as for kicking my horse; you kick my horse, and I'll shoot your moose! :sniper:

You do know that Larue makes standard style rings right?

Think that would look a lot better than the cantilever.

Looks like a wicked rifle.

ETA: Is this a clone of the KAC system? Looks like it to me, but I'm no expert.

Yes ( they are in the picture Greetips posted), I was talking about one piece mounts however .

I would agree that standard rings would be the way to go which is why I mentioned Badgers. Having owned both Larue and ARMS two piece I have concluded that why bother when you have rings like Badger , Nighforce, Seekins , NEAR and even TPS. You would be suprised how quick you can "quick release" and properly remount and torque these rings to 65in/lbs

The only thing the Larue 2 piece has going for it is they are very light

Larue Cantilever SPR has measurable flex ( up to .008" ) if you push down on the front. Can't imagine how much the SPR-E would have ! Although it probably wouldn't matter from a practical sense I can't see why you would use a cantilever if you didn't need to extend ER

Nice looking rifle

Amen.

I went thru a class with a guy (excellent shooter) who shot a POF carbine - it did well, not as good as my Hk416, but its hard to beat German perfection.
