Laser Cartridge Bore Sight Tool

Bought one of these years ago from Cabelas for my .308

Now moving into precision long range shooting with a .22LR and was wondering if anyone knows where I can get a laser bore sight to fit the chamber.

Not sure if there is any laser bore sight that will fit a 22lr chamber, but they sell some that attaches to your muzzle.
 
I find the muzzle ones tend to bend. I am on my second or third one of those. There are ones made to chamber in the .22 rifles but as usual "Made in China" so ebay is your friend.
 
I picked up a Bushnell magnetic Bore Sighter a while back.

As long as your barrel has not been gnawed off on the end, by rabid beavers, it works a treat.

Played with a couple laser units a few years back, and they were absolute crap. Maybe the new ones are better...
 
Waste of money. Fire one shot at 25 yards. With the rifle held firmly on the point of aim, move the cross hair to the bullet hole. Now you are sighted in for 25 yards and depending on the height of the scope above the bore and ammunition you may also be sighted in for 50 yards.

I did find the chamber bore sighter for my .308 a real time & ammo $$ saver...but now I'm retired (lots of time) & shooting much cheaper ammo so will follow Horseman2's advice & get out to the range!
