Laser engraved my 1911 grips... whatcha think?

Yep, I like it. Do you find the pistol torques more in your hand with no checkering or other grippy surface on the grip panels?

Negative. It does have checkering on the front strap though which is huge for "grip". When I shoot, I don't feel/notice it torquing out of my hands... that is to say I don't need to readjust my grip from shot to shot (and I am shooting heavy loads).

Now if I had no checkering on the front strap then I'd definitely want the panels to have some.

The only CON I have with the grips is that I went with the Slim panels... I prefer the regular sized panels, but, I wanted to go with something more Concealable to keep the original intent of the Manufacturer for this piece :D

After that I'd have to say I wish it was a little lighter.

Otherwise, I love it!

Thanks Juster :)

Actually I wanted it to take a few seconds to realize what you were looking at. Like wood grain or something ;)

Its unique thats for sure. Have you checked out the carved Damascus from Wicked Grips? You might like that stuff alot to. Nice pistol though, very clean.:D

Ah, a bear skull. I find it hard to picture the eyes but if you like it that's great!

Love the bobtail. It's a nice looking gun but I would go for 40 S&W or 45 ACP if buying. :p

Did you have the grips done locally here in BC? How much if you don't mind?

Yep... local (Surrey Sign Shop) - $40/side taxes in; a little pricey (but comparable to US companies which offer the same service). The real "gem" in the deal though was the same-day 1hr service.

No plans to engrave the slide. I just wanted to "fancy-up" the grip panels. :)
