Laser Rangefinding Spotting Scope

I am not expecting such a device to ever become common, as it is not at all practical for the average hunter. The average hunter does not usually carry a spotting scope, and setting one up on a tripod would take far longer than simply using rangefinding binoculars that can be hand held.

Burris and Zeiss make them but they are not cheap.I thought about getting one until I thought about how long the batteries will work when I'm hunting at -20c or colder.

Are you referring to laser range finding riflescopes, or to laser range finding spotting scopes?
