Hi
I just bought myself a CZ SPO1 Shadow. I want to get a laser dot sight for it. What is the best one to buy and where can I get it. Any and all help on this matter is much appreciated.
Thanks Al

LaserMax doesn't make an internal replacement guide-rod version for the CZ. And the Crimson Trace LG-475 cannot work with the ambidextrous safety of your Shadow.

Unless you're willing to change the ambi-safety on your Shadow to a left-only safety, you're going to be limited to a version of a laser that attaches to the pistol's accessory rail, like one from one of these manufacturers:

I know, 150$ would of been a decent price, but they seem to all go over 275$, pretty pricey for a simple laser..

Found this. Might be an interesting alternative, but am assuming it is pricey as well given its a dedicated sight set. They don't list CZ but wouldn't be surprised if you contacted them they might have one in the works.

Before I would spend a large amount on a lazer , I would try out
one if possible, if you are shooting paper.
I don't know of any one that will shoot better with one of these.
I had one on a CZ 75 , member has a trace on 1911, under barrel
mount on a s-w, NO one could hold good enough to shoot a good group.
Not saying some of you guys are not better shots than us:rolleyes:
Mind you they are cool and if some one is in combat, that is different.

Lasers are the single WORST accessory you could ever add to a handgun. Learn to use the sights they will serve you much better.

I think your so wrong, they do not cross reference. When you have the abaillity sights are to be used first when you dont you can use the laser, ie: like you are injured on your back so on and so on.

I have mine dialed at 15 yards its very accurate.

Proper sighting is always first a laser is a totally different tool

Night and day, apples and oranges.

yes i totally agree. and not intended to jack the tread.

IMO, having been bitten by the laser bug once

If considering for target practice:
Long after the novelty of putting a red dot on your target fades.
a nice pair of enhanced iron sights will be still paying back in spades.

$100-150 buys some pretty nice sights but only a entry level laser targeting system

If considering for "defense" i wouldn't trust my life to a six dollar battery.

As an offensive tactical tool maybe it has an advantage.

But most of us are just out there for some fun so... whatever floats the boat right?

:D
