I would lean towards the 12th personally. I'll be just back from christmas vacation on the 5th and pretty burned outy I would guess. But I could probably go with either.
Gennesee range here outside of Edmonton. Outdoor facility with the following ranges, 25M, 50M, 100M, 200M, 300M, 400M, 500M, 600M, 700M.
Dunno if I can do it but I would try to set it up.
Theres a mention about the Gennesee range in the link at the bottom of my post. The gate to the range is always locked to stop the general public and non-members getting access. Although guests are allowed in with members.
Hungry, is there a plan for an Alberta stop? (read Edmonton) Or are you heading right to BC? (Is the `08 Hungry tour a summer clinic?)

I think this is a great idea. As a new AR shooter I've never had formal instruction, and I'd like to be able to properly maintain my rifle, as well as see what sorts of things I can do/add on to it.

Hungry here: Yes, I will be swinging through Calgary and Edmonton. Don't you worry. I've networked with a few of the Edmonton CGNutz back in November Calgary clinic. I will stop at all the major cities out west. I still have a few months to iron out which cities and who I'll be bunking with. As we get closer to the summer, the plans will begin to gel then firm up.

If I ever get a free evening, I'll make up a new action wrench that will cost about $ 15.00. It will be very much like my barrel wrench ... just two pieces of 1"X1" square aluminum bar stock [ shotgun reloaders will recognise where these come from ] with two hiles drilled in for the 1/2" bolts, and a square piece of tube about 4' long for the handle.

I will be spending the month of August on the M14 Western Kanada Tour, so yes, I will be in all Western Provinces and I will be arranging physical places to hold these clinics once the Spring hits us.
I plan to spend a few days in each city, and at least overnight or single day stops in say.... the Soo, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Brandon, Regina, Calgary, Edmonchuk, Kamloops, or Prince George, Hongcouver, Victoria, Nanaimo ?
My schedule is wide open right now for the month of August.
