Last chance for the Chinese Military SKS

There's lots of talk about how most of the Russian stuff (SKS, SVT 40, Mosin's, ammo) was coming out of Ukraine and that one condition for UN/NATO help was they had to destroy their cold war stockpiles instead of selling them off. On the Chinese side, shipping giant COSCO is supposedly no longer handling weapons and ammo. I'm sure someone else will step in but their middle man charge may be higher. To top it off, I've read that most of these deals are done in US dollars and we know how our dollar is doing against that.

So you're right. What it all points to is the next shipments will be more expensive and prices in general will be going up.

Cosco is no longer handling ammo. Nothing has come up with them not shipping guns.

I knew the ammo part for sure as there have been several articles about it. The part about them not shipping guns came from a single article I read a while back about the Americans trying to crack down on the number of foreign guns; legal and otherwise, moving through their ports. Maybe that reporter just assumed no ammo = no guns as well.

Wouldn't be the first time I've repeated something that later turned out to be wrong. Grain of salt. Your mileage may vary. All that. :)

There are a lot of businesses still selling SKS's at great prices...Kukagami Jack in Sudbury just brought in a bunch of really nice Russian SK's and selling at about 225 or so...I had a Chinese SKS and sold it...I refinished it first because the original wood and finish was crap.

Allow me to clarify
ONLY deals with the Chinese SKS will be discontinued.
Simply put, we are running low on stock and likely not getting more anytime soon.

So your not getting more ammo or sks?
We need to know if we have to frenzy buy sks or not! Lol

It is call the bait and switch, the bait a $75.00 SKS and the switch only if you buy a$285.00 box of ammo, for a total of $360.00 plus plus and more pluses, the favourite tactic of used car salesman everywhere.

except shipping a crap load of ammo isn't exactly cheap.

Low on stock of ammo or low on stock of Chinese SKS, or both???

did you read the first post?

Place near my house has a bunch of beautiful Tula SKS complete with accessories for $179+tax....

Another local store had a sale on Tula SKS for $119.00

Cosco isn't shipping ammo anymore because the cost of shipping what is considered a dangerous good/explosive to the legal standard was so high and the hassle was so significant that the margin wasn't big enough to make it worth while anymore.

The guns are a different matter- they don't have the same shipment standards, and you get more money for weight, hence why we will still get Chinese guns.

I ordered the combo yesterday. A case of 1320 and an SKS locally comes to $564.98 after tax so marstar is $100-115ish cheaper and 120 more rounds. Where's the bait and switch?

Don't know about the "bait and switch", but with the other sponsor, you would have saved you 25 bucks and have gotten another 80 rds.
