Last Handgun if you could only have one more.

...that's why it's a KORTH 1911, and not just a 1911? :sok2
Yes I guess that is true. Korth = expensive and unique. Interestingly when Wanstalls first brought these in around 2015 or 2016, they sold for $3999, cheaper than several of the higher end 1911s on the market.

I don't remember if I already posted on this thread and if so my answer might be different. But right now, if I could get one last handgun it would be one of the left-handed revolvers Korth did a few years ago. That would be so sweet. One can always dream...

I think the G48 MOS is a good choice for a 1 handgun situation.
Slim and carries well.
I have mine outfitted with a Holosun 407K and a TLR7
Very small but capable package

Glock 17. Not that I think Glock's are the greatest thing ever, but if you only get on for the rest of your life, I'd choose one you know id going to go bang every time and with little to now issues for years ahead.

plus as the gentleman in your avatar shows, their mags are available everywhere (though some mags, especially without extended baseplates wont work well in his Taran Tactical G34...ask me how i know lol)

To buy before this ban happens? Colt O1970CY.

Yeah, it costs more than it should. Yeah, other 1911’s offer more features for the money. But it’s got a Pony on it and I want one.

If you mean what which pistol would I keep above all others? Toss-up between my Hi-Power and Glock 17. Both proven platforms in 9mm that will be supported for decades to come. Logic says Glock, but the Hi-Power is just so good in every way.

Don't know if it is the O1970CY, but a SCG showed up yesterday. If i didn't all ready have my Colt 1911 fix I'd be tempted.

None. Racked my brains, still nothing comes to mind. I’m happy with my “can’t live without” 1911s and SW revolvers. In fact, I was already in the divestment stage, when the ban was announced. The ban just hastened the final few tough decisions. At this point, my life is simpler with fewer pieces. No more agonizing minutes spent deciding which pieces to bring to the range.

Oh, I was/am but it’s an O1990CM. So close but not quite the one I’m holding out for. Can’t justify the cost for a gun that’s almost what I want. Been there done that and it always feels like something’s missing.

Worst case I’ll buy one in the states in a few years. Planning to spend more time down there once semi-retirement hits.

I hear you. Close doesn't quite cut it particularly if you are paying full price at the higher end.
