The last No 4s were produced /refurbished (FTR) in Pakistan by POF - Pakistan Ordinance Factory, in the 60s.
According to some sources Pakistan produced a few No.4 MKI before going over to the No.4 MK2 in the middle 50's. India is still producing a commercial version of the No.1 MKIII*.
Latest known No1 receiver dates
British 1944 Dispersal No1s
Lithgow 1953 last batch of 1000 made between 1953 & 1956
Ishapore 1988 Thats the latest dated No1 Mk3* observed but probably not the last.
Wow., Now I need to keep a look-out for a nice 1956 no.1 Lithgow rifle. Who knew! Steve.
Bore dia listed is .315, I suspect they just rounded up 7.7mm (.303) to 8mm.
Yeah, but look at the picture they use for the ammo:

.303 Savage ????
If I remember correctly those rounds are (or at least based off of) the 8x50r round the Austrian Hungarian Empire used in the original M95s and the earlier straight pull rifles.
