I set up my press and my powder thrower the other night and came across a couple things that made me think there must be a better way.
When I threw a charge of Reloder22 into the pan for my scale I noticed a few individual grains would bounce out after hitting the metal pan. I tried lifting the pan right up to the tube but a few bits still bounced out. I imagine this is not going to be a problem with handgun loads less than 5 grains, but trying to drop 70 grains for the 300 Winmag is more of a challenge. Also, there is a tendency for the powder to statically cling to the red plastic funnel. So how do you guys deal with these issues?

Wipe the funnel with a fabric softener sheet. I drop powder out of the measure into a straight sided plastic pill bottle, and then into the pan on the scale.
 
You're worrying about nothing. Any cartridge that uses a powder as slow as Re22 isn't going to bat an eyelash at a tenth of a grain, one way or another. You blow more unburned powder than that out your muzzle with every shot.

Shoot over some fresh snow and you will see what I mean.

To bad someone POed him on another thread. He would explain it eloquently and exactly for you.

Reloading is a lot of fun, until you take it to extremes. One of the extremes noobies take on is exact powder charges.

I did and so did every other hand loader out there.

It wasn't until I got into bench rest shooting that I realized exact powder weights were seldom a cure for accuracy, once you were in the sweet range.

After you find the sweet range combination, then it gets to be time to tweak other things on the rifle, like bedding, trigger pull, scope/reticle focus and paralax. That's just the beginning.
