Not much of a story on this one, but we were glassing for Bulls from a high point 2+ miles away from where they were bedding in some dark timber. They were coming out late to feed and we were hoping they would betray their preferred bedding up spot for ambush on another day. Unfortunately for him, this Bull decided to feed out all alone below and the rest is history. I hit him three times through the chest with 140 gr TTSX's out of my 280 AI at about 80 yards and he went about 50 yds before tipping on his nose.

Please note this bull had broken his right royal clean off. I spent two hours doing a crappy job on photoshop trying to see what he might look like unbroken.

Looks like you might, almost, possibly, could be about to smile in that one.

Good work. I guess that freezer is just about full now.

Post one without the photoshop. Was that in November, or 300?

That's a nice bull Chuck! Assuming that you shot it in WMU 300, how did you find the RAMP program in that zone? We hunt 108 often, and while I'm not sure if I agree with the concept, the RAMP properties were easy to use.

Thanks. I was born and raised in WMU 300 and live just outside it now. This bull was not killed on RAMP property though. 300 is divided into two areas for Elk and one side has much more RAMP properties than the other.
