Just thought I'd share a few photos from a little foray into Alberta's backcountry that I just returned from. It was late-season sheep hunting at its best......or perhaps worst. We had -20 temperatures, a blizzard that dropped over a foot of snow, dehydration, lack of food and good times with a good buddy. No rams died but did see a few that just weren't big enough. Dropped 9 pounds in four days. Had one heck of a scary trip out in some country that is best only accessed in the summer. One more kick at the cat tomorrow and the 2013 sheep season is a wrap.

I wish I was still fit enough to do that, enjoy it while you can, there is no other hunt that can be so miserable and tough, but also so enjoyable and rewarding.

Nice pics and good luck!!

Great pics. Sounds like a fun hunt. Go get your ram on the "last kick at the can".

I wish I could make it out for my bull moose, but no way as season ends tomorrow evening. Good thing I was also drawn for cow elk starting November 1st, and I know where to go as my nephew took his first bull elk (5x5) yesterday after school.
