Anybody know the history of the latest batch of No. 4 Lee Enfields that have turned up. It looks like Tradex, P&S and local shop suddenly have a number of similar No. 4 rifles in decent condition, all seem to have the Mk. II flip rear sight. I'm curious where they have come from. Thanks

I was pretty sure it wasn't India. There were no stock screws, or Indian markings of any kind. The few that I handled may even be original WW2 for all I know. Mostly Longbranch maked parts from what I saw.

I checked out P&S Militaria, and Jean has a few Long Branch N0.4's,..all with the 2 postion "L" type sight...they are described as VG + ..If you go further into his list of NO.4's ..in the Brit section of rifles, he has a larger selection to choose from..."Maltby and ROF.{ Fazerklerly}, and BSA {M47}..these are all NO.4 MK 1 , as opposed to our LB NO.4 MK1*...

Those were the ones that weren't imported because too many people wanted them for $150 each?? Yes, they were nice from what I read, could well be the same rifles, or could be Greek.

Canadian Makred No1MkIII*'s, I would have bought one at market price.... Not to mention no4's..........
