Custom Built Remington 700
-Action is blue printed with spiral flutes on the bolt body
-Bell & Carson gun stock- Pillar and glass bedded, with aluminum chassis
-Bob Jury Stainless Steel Barrel, 27" 1-10 twist
-Trigger Tech- 1.5 to 4.0 pounds- set at 1.5 pounds
- Cartridge- 25-06 Remington
-Credit for the build ; Henry Rempel, PR Precision, Black Box Custom
Being the action and cartridge is Remington, I choose the green stock, their colour.
The trigger will not be pulled until January 2027, it's when I always conduct load development. I'll probably start-off with
IMR-7828 and H-1000 with the 100 grain Nosler Ballistic Tip.

January…you sir have a level of restraint I cannot fathom, lol.
I’m patiently waiting on the return of a custom project and I can honestly say load development and shooting it will be my number one priority.
Nice rifle, the darkened flutes look great.

Cool! 25-06 is an interesting choice… but if you know, you know I guess. I don’t have one but the couple guys I know with one that’s their go-to.
I would have personally found it hard to resist ordering a tighter twist so I could try out some of those cool new high bc bullets

I loved the old Rem 700 factory triggers set for 1.5 or less( I owned at least 3 25-06 over the years)....when you want it to "go" it does!!

All of my custom rifles have the 27" Bob Jury stainless steel barrels. The reason: Velocities. Accuracy is always a guarantee of 1/2" and less with a custom build. Yes, I hunt the prairies with fast and flat shooting cartridges, not big cartridges and calibers. The 240 Wby. 270 Win. 30-06 Springfield, 7mm Remington Mag. and now the 25-06 remington.
This buck was killed with the 240 Wby. by a 90 grain Accubond at 3,684 fps, on the prairies.

Very nice, but I definitely couldn’t wait that long. Although I do most of my hunting rifle load development in October or reasonable days before spring.

What’s the weight of it all in with your scope as seen in the picture ?

I'm old school, meaning: I'm not into the fast-twist accompanied with the long heavier bullets. I truely enjoy velocities and results on the range from handloading.

As for the weight, the rifle alone is 8 pounds 3 oz. With the scope, Talley base and rings, 9 pounds 15 oz. All my custom guns weigh about the same, give or take a couple of ounces. Many guys would cringe with such a heavy rifle however, I've been shouldering them for 26 years.

I walk between 5 to 8 miles per day when hunting big game, it hasen't concerned me, as-of-yet. I guess I don't mind being a beast of burden.
