The lighting isn't the best, but am working on that

So here's a thing I never understand. On more than half the sporters out there, the very servicable sling swivel has been removed and the hole plugged with a new swivel put in. WHY???
Your's is looking sweet.

Got some more work done tonight
The handguards were put on.
The lower and upper bands fitted.
The front sling swivel as well.
The safety assembly was also put in.
Tomorrow should manage to get the sights put on.

Lookin' good! That wood looks like new!

One day I want to restore a rifle. I've purchased a couple and then decided not to just out of cost. But someday I'll find the right one and $ will not be a factor.

You mentioned lighting; hope you don't mind a friendly tip. Use natural lighting. Take pics next to a big window or better yet, outside. It doesn't have to be that bright out. It just gets rid of all the shadows and there is no glare like a flash. So when this baby is done, find a scenic spot and take some glamour shots of that baby.

:D

Natural light would be preferable but for now any natural light photos will be on the weekends. Work hours and current weather make it tough to get good light in the morning before I head to work. When I get home its dark.

The buttstock is an unissued one(I had to drill the screw holes to widen them a bit, they had never been used)
The forestock is unissued.
The handguards are in such good condition that if they aren't unissued I'd be very surprised.

Last Update!

The rifle is now finished :D:D:D

Finished put on the rear sights tonight along with the front sight assembly, and the ejector screw which turned out quite nice(it wasn't too long and that would have required filing down if it had been)

All that is left is to get a magazine for it(and I have my eye on one)
