Hi Tactical import, during Zhuhai Airshow Norinco showed their latest QBZ191 CIVILIAN SPORTER Variant for export.
Rifle system now came in 5.56 Nato, 308 and 7.62X39 calibers

Any chance we can get them in? These will be some nice DIVERSITY to Canadian Market

Isn’t this the PLA standard issue service rifle? I doubt it would be anything but reliable. The 556 and 762x51 versions in NR configuration would be really popular. I’d be very interested. Too bad we’ll never see this with regular Stanag compatibility thanks to these asinine laws.

Wasn't the word here in the west that the 191 was absolute trash or is that just standard propaganda?
There was a video showing some shooting of it in a training scenario and there was visible keyholing on the targets, but it's hard to say if that was some fault of the gun, the ammo, or it could very well be them using some weird training ammo too. Not really enough info to know for sure.

The keyholing seems to be using training ammo, as they were literally shooting at targets 10-20 ft away from them with concrete walls. Full powered 5.8 (5.56 like) would be ricocheting all over them, and putting holes into the walls.

The Chinese aren't dumb and can build functioning rifles.

This video was the one that make me want a 5.56 version, internally over engineered but looks like a reliable gas system

Someone on Reddit said that Jianshe's (the mfg) importer is Terinon, not TI so they speculated they'd be handling it if it were to happen.

And the keyholing was a result of plastic training ammo IIRC.

Clean looking set of rifles there!

diversity is great to the market - unfortunate for our awkward gun that’s that we can’t just get anything and everything :(

Doubt anything like that will hit our shores anytime in the foreseeable future. It would be nice but I am just being realistic. On the plus side, this is a small victory for the Liberals and all the "made in China" hating so called gun nuts. I swear, sometime people in the gun community are their own worse enemy.
