I inherited a 1960ish Laurona SxS 20gauge shotgun. The gun was "modified" and needs a new barrel and but stock. Not sure if it is at all possible to find replacements and might have to get custom work done.. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks,

Out of curiosity, in what way have the bbls/stock been altered?

I'm afraid it won't be as simple/easy as obtaining aftermarket (drop-in) type parts or something that may require minimal tweak to fit - as is usually the case for current day production shotguns such as semi-auto/pump etc.

At this point in time, had it been even feasible enough to professionally accomplish a restoration job as such, the enormous cost incurred would've immensely outweighed the value of that sxs even in original/new condition.

Unless this gun has extreme sentimental value, it is not worth repairing. I bought a good condition 16ga. Laurona sxs for $280 all in. It will cost me that to open chokes, and some stockwork. I consider my gun a throwaway if it ever needs major work. That's life.

Buy a used one from Trade ex .com (?) and scavenge the parts. The barrels will more then likely have to be hand fitted by a smithy, ergo $$
