LAV review: Gunfighter Butt Stock from BCM USA

My advice is to wake up and live in the real world

There is always an agenda - even if you are not smart enough to figure it out

I know when I review something, my agenda is to provide feedback on a product based on my experience with it to provide a 3rd party a real world opinion on the product so that they can spend their hard earned cash with a little more confidence than a paid endorsement provides.

In the real world, most people value the money they earned.

I do understand business that's why I wrote what I did. When you are being paid to review something for a company your views and opinions may be slanted. I am subscribed to your channel and really enjoy what you are doing. That being said I do understand that you are still paid endorsement and your views for BCM can be influenced. Hope this makes sense and doesn't come across wrong.. Wouldn't want LAV hunting me down :)

If anything lone-wolf, you should be directing your issues to Mebiuspower as he's the one who titled this thread as "LAV Review". What Lav & crew did was present a new product, not a full out review/comparison a-la NutnFancy. If that's what you saw in that video then we have a very different definition of what a review is.

Which stock did you replace with this new BCM? i.e. what do you feel it can/can't replace.

It's a direct competitor to the CTR and MOE SL. It doesn't have a wide cheek weld like the SOPMOD or Vltor IMod/E-mod stocks and it doesn't have battery storage.

As you saw in the first review already, it survived the drop test which many stocks cannot achieve while having a tight lockup without any external locks or tightening device like the CTR/Moe SL.

Yup, saw that video. GT alluded to it already - it'll be interesting to see how it does in cold environment as well.

For the price, it seems like a real solid piece of kit.

What I want to see from a " real stock review" is 1.5m drop test in cold temp on concrete floor, mortar test of 200 repetitions on concrete to simulate IA for FTE and at least 400 rounds of 40mm LV if this is for people to take to harm's way. These are the things that actually matter more than a bit of rattling of the stock and how sleek the line is.

There are way too many commercial stocks out there and there is no standard as to their durability and reliability. I still remember the magpul robofoot cracked by just one mortar slam in an IA.

How much is that awesome BCM tactical rubber band?

In all seriousness, very good price.

10 for US$20.

From Gearward founder Mark Greenman:

“I've used ranger bands for many years now, and I find they are up there with duct tape and cordage in terms of versatility. There's really so many things you can do with a really strong rubber band.

While ranger bands have served me very well over the years, cutting up old bicycle inner tubes became a hassle, so I decided to work with a rubber band factory to see if there was a better option. After quite a bit of experimentation with sizes and rubber mixtures, we ended up creating a really rugged rubber band.

What sets them apart is that they are made out of double-thick EPDM rubber, and designed specifically for functioning in the outdoors. EPDM has a working temperature from -50 to 300 degrees, works well with water, and does not break down from exposure to sunlight the way normal rubber bands do. Not only do they hold the kit securely in place, but the Ranger Bands also serve as an excellent source of tinder. Because rubber is non-absorbent, it's completely waterproof, and the extra-thick bands burn for 3 minutes. Overall, I think you'll find Ranger Bands to be a versatile addition to your preps, and you will be surprised by how many ways they can come in handy. Simply put, they're the toughest rubber bands available.”
