I use a Vortex to confirm how poorly I can range estimate by eye.

Targets, similar to Clocked92. We shoot on private ranges, private land, and forestry.

Will also be taking it to confirm ranges on targets at PR comps this year. Incorrect target info cost me several hits last year. Lesson learn. LOL.

If I'm coyote hunting I'll range a few features to get an idea of how far a shot might be. I'll use it after a shot sometimes.

For target shooting, setting targets.

For hunting, shooting, range estimation practice, how far I have to walk to the next hill on the pasture before I get close enough to shoot at deer, yotes etc. Suppose it would work for golf, as long as I don't have too many beers and leave it behind someplace lol.

Just bought the Leica 2700B. Love it. My use is strictly big game hunting for that occasional shot past 500 metres. Anything under that distance I can estimate and hit cleanly. When I hit 45, my eyes started to go so I don't trust my bracketing beyond that 500 mark.

Never bothered using a rangefinder for coyotes or fox. If I could see it, the 223 or 22-250 would hit it.

Use mine for elk archery & for setting up targets, both rifle & archery. Being 10 yards off in archery isn't good.

Beyond the shooting and hunting aspects I use them for measuring fields and pot-holes and doing a bit of math to calculate acres. I've used them at work for quick measurements on occasion.
