LCW 7.62x39 Nail Test

Put about 100 rounds of the HP through my 858, left it in the jeep in the locked garage over night in the cold and then tossed it in the safe and left town for 10 days. I came back and had zero signs of rust. :)

+1 for Canam and great customer service BTW

More people here need to do their own test instead of everyone just talking about it. The more tests the better.

I'm going to be doing it, and hopefully post the results. I'll be using a brass case with a CCI 200 LR primer, a "Non Corrosive" Chinese 31/72, and the LCW. I just need to make sure I get some non-galvanized nails from the store.

*** UPDATE*** Test started a few hours ago. Here are the results which are already starting to show. Will give it until tomorrow.

Brass 7.62x39 case with a CCI 200 LR primer. No rust obviously.
"Non Corrosive" Chinese 31/72 7.62x39 . Already showing a reddish rusty color. Same s**t as got in my barrel previously.
LCW 7.62x39 ammo. No rust signs. :)

Perhaps LA's has some explaining to do? They still adamantly endorse it as Non-Corrosive and it is in fact Corrosive. That's a real ripoff.

At least CanadaAmmo stands behind it's customers! Thanks for that! :)

Sorry to resurrect this just for a silly joke, but I couldn't resist:

<nasty sarcasm>12 grain FMJ? That must FLY! </nasty sarcasm>

That's their nice way of saying LCW doesn't have consistent enough bullet weights to give an exact answer. lol

Holy crap was this thread a long read. OP should do an update to his first post, that details what has been concluded (or not concluded? lol) here. And include a quote of CanAms guarantee. That way everyone can just read through the first post, look at a few pictures, and then be informed.
