LDA Trigger: Good or Bad?

Just wondering if an LDA Trigger is a good or bad idea for IPSC - sounds like it would be a benefit but I've never shot one yet.

You are going to get a variety of opinions on this one. I have owned an LDA for the last year and I really like it. A smooth and consistent 5.25 lbs trigger pull is great, because of the take up it does not feel that heavy. I mainly shoot in the open division and I was initially worried about going from a light 24 ounce trigger to the LDA. There was no issue.

Give one a try, I think you will be surprised on how good they feel.

Like anything it takes a little getting used to, but once you are familiar with it, it is great. Shot mine in production and loved it.

The down side is that the trigger re-set is long therefore slower to manipulate.

I did not find it slower, but one issue I did have with the long reset was that sometimes I would not release far enough when shooting close targets and trying to go fast and get trigger freeze.

I think the downside is the fact they are attached to Paras....

Trigger pull is excellent. Mechanism is overly complicated.
Kinda' like the Rube Goldberg of 1911's.

Personnaly I don't like it but my friend loves his LDA... i guess I'm just used to the 1.3 pound trigger pull with a .04" reset on my para.

You date yourself with that Rube Goldberg reference. I doubt most who have looked at this thread have ever seen a Rube Goldberg cartoon or heard the term.

Since I used IPSC1 LDA for a little while(again thank you), I really like the trigger on his (never tried others) if I would own a Para it would a LDA.....
