LE 6920 markup

clyde armory at policeguns.com is listing 6520's for 1019.00 and 6920's for 1199.00 for IOP purchase. I am very confident that if a dealer pricing would be available from them for volume or not and there would be an appropriate price decrease.

further to that, why not import lowers only? they will sell, minus the stock....this is being done already. Further again, paying for a run (yes I understand it needs capital) of 223 chambers from most manufacturers is doable.

When our Dollar crept up to US throughout 2007, I payed less than US MSRP on my Kawasaki Motorcycle.
US prices was $12,999 MSRP, Kanuckistan was $15,699. Dealer sold it for 12,500CDN!

Alot of US firearms are selling here for less than US MSRP such as Mossbergs and Henry Rifles to name a few.Look at Mossbergs Website and then look at CGN sponsors prices on their products.:agree:

Anyhow I bought the Red Hordes AR-15. When our allies to the south start sharing with their Bedfellows here in the North, then I will surely, without question always buy the Best such as a colt 6920.:popCorn:
 
You know what would be really neat, a Russian made AR15 with Kalashnikov style hand guards and a red star stamped on the receiver with some generic soviet factory number underneath.

Edit to add, not to derail, The colt 6290 is a fine rifle, I have found the fit and finish to be no better or worse that a Stag, Armalite or C8.
Therefore over priced for what you get IMHO.
Nonetheless I'm a snob and went ahead and got the 6290.

You could look at it this way; USGI M14's were going for $500 in mint condition pre prohib status and now they are in the $1000 - $1500 range. Down in the USA they are running at $10,000 and up, now how is that for a markup :eek::eek:

Norinco/Polytech M14s/M305 here in Canada $500 in the USA $1000 plus, used and if you can find one.

Any USGI surplus rifle/hand gun. Not to long ago M1's for $200, 1911A1's $250 in the USA don't even ask.

And how do you explain the Swiss Arms for $3000 plus and they have no problem selling every single one here in Canada. USA, you got to be kidding, right!

So I ask, what is all the whining with the Colt?

Canada is Canada and the US is the US, if you want a Colt pull out the cheque book and stop whining. Or just pick up a clone and be happy about it.:popCorn::popCorn:

This thread was timely, I was about to ask about the pricing but I guess it makes a bit more sense now. Hoping to pick up a 6920 with removable carry handle.

Keeping my figures crossed some pop up not TOO expensive, but I understand why they are more.
 
I'd love to get my hands on a 6520. Prices in the US right now are great ($900) and the lowers are marked .223, don't know about barrels though. Think they may have finally released a flat top version of this model but don't know the number.

Still trying to find one of the Diemaco "Made In Canada" Colts.
